Itinerary

Day 1 : Giza Pyramids

Begin your day with a visit to the Giza Plateau, where our expert guide will lead you through the awe-inspiring wonders of the ancient kingdom. Discover the Pyramids of Giza, including Cheops, Mykerinus, and Chephren, the last remaining ancient wonder of the world. Immerse yourself in the history of these magnificent structures and unravel the mysteries surrounding their construction.

From the plateau, capture breathtaking panoramic views of the Pyramids rising from the golden sands of Giza. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for unforgettable photos. Before departing, greet the enigmatic Great Sphinx, a 3,000-year-old guardian of the site.

Your journey continues at the Pyramid of Saqqara, also known as the Pyramid of Djoser. This vast necropolis, located near ancient Memphis, is where King Djoser constructed his tomb over 4,000 years ago. This groundbreaking structure marked the first time a pyramidal shape was used for a tomb, forever changing the course of architectural history.

After enjoying a delicious lunch, conclude your day with a visit to the Cairo Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts, including royal mummies and the breathtaking treasure of King Tutankhamen.

In the evening, our guide will escort you back to your hotel, allowing you to relax and reflect on the extraordinary experiences of your day.

Day 2 : Islamic and Coptic Cairo.

Embark on a journey through time by exploring Cairo's medieval district. Begin your day with a grand example of Ottoman architecture, the Alabaster Mosque. Constructed by Muhammad Ali Pasha between 1830 and 1848 as a memorial to his eldest son who passed away in 1816, the mosque is predominantly built from limestone, possibly sourced from the Pyramids of Giza.

Next, visit one of the most stunning and impressive historical structures of the Mamluk era, the Sultan Hassan Mosque. This Islamic complex encompasses a mosque and a madrassa, where the four schools of Islamic thought were once taught. Continue to the Coptic quarter of the city and marvel at the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Renowned for its Geniza, this temple is believed to be built on the site where Moses was discovered by Pharaoh's daughter as an infant.

High above the gate of the old Babylonian Fortress, the Hanging Church demands attention. Enter this holy edifice and observe the 13 pillars that support the entire nave.

Stroll along El Moez Street and admire the exquisite buildings, madrassas (Koran schools), mosques, and traditional houses. Consider visiting one of these houses, Bayt El Suheymi.

Afterwards, wander through the streets of Khan El Khalili. Constructed in the 14th century, this souk remains the primary destination for locals seeking gold. Explore the bustling market where spices, gold, soap, and handcrafted souvenirs are sold.

You will be escorted back to your hotel for the night.

Day 3 : Travel to Alexandria.

Following your breakfast, relax in an air-conditioned vehicle as you travel to Alexandria. Step into the intriguing Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a Roman necropolis that blends Egyptian, Greek, and Roman funerary art. This ancient site, once considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Medieval World, showcases a collection of tombs, statues, and archaeological treasures.

Nearby, the towering Pompey Pillar stands as a testament to history. While its name might suggest a connection to the Roman general Pompey, it was actually erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian in 291 AD. This monolithic pillar, crafted from a single piece of red Aswan granite, reaches a height of 26.85 meters. It rests upon the ruins of the Temple of Serapis, dedicated to the Egyptian-Greek god who was the protector of Alexandria.

Adjacent to the Pillar, you'll find a sphinx built in tribute to Serapis. Next, your journey takes you to Saint Catherine Church. As you stand before this religious edifice, observe the details of its neo-baroque architecture. Once inside, marvel at the way sunlight floods the building, highlighting its grandeur.

According to Christian tradition, Saint Catherine was a young princess and scholar who converted to Christianity at the age of 14, inspiring hundreds of pagans to follow her faith. After enduring torture and imprisonment, she was executed by Emperor Maxentius, earning her the title of martyr.

Explore the Alexandria National Museum, where three primary collections narrate the captivating history of this ancient cosmopolitan city.

Discover Qaitbay Citadel, a legacy of the Mamluk Dynasty built on the remnants of the once-famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Erected in 1477 by Sultan Ashram Sayf El-Din Quit Bay, the citadel exemplifies Mamluk military architecture.

This fortress was strategically built to safeguard Alexandria from Ottoman invasion. Conclude your day with a leisurely stroll along the corniche, traversing Stanley Bridge and relishing an unparalleled view of the glistening sea.

As night descends, the bridge illuminates beautifully, casting shimmering reflections on the water below.

Day 4 : Travel to Fayoum

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, departing at 8:00 AM for a tour of the Fayoum Oasis, arriving at 10:00 AM. A knowledgeable English-speaking Egyptology guide will accompany you. Explore Wadi El Rayan, embarking on a thrilling sand-dune adventure by 4x4 Jeep. Return to the oasis for lunch, enjoying a picturesque view of Qarun Lake. After lunch, continue your tour to see the fascinating Waterwheels.

Experience the wonders of the Valley of Whales and the Fayoum Oasis, traveling in a 4x4 Jeep. At 4:00 PM, you will depart for Cairo, arriving back at your hotel around 6:00 PM.
