Itinerary
Day 1 : Bahariya Oasis-The Black and White Desert "Camping"
Start your exciting adventure at 7:00 AM, where our driver will pick you up in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a scenic 4-hour drive (approximately 360 km) to Bahariya Oasis. Along the way, we’ll make a brief stop at a rest house to refresh, grab a snack, or enjoy a drink before continuing on to our destination. We’ll reach the oasis around 11:30 AM, where we’ll switch to a 4×4 safari vehicle and meet our local Bedouin guide, who will lead us through the stunning desert landscape.
Our first stop will be the towering Sand Dunes, where you’ll have the chance to climb a dune that rises up to 50 meters high and snap some amazing photos. Next, we’ll explore the Black Desert, home to El Marcos Mountain, a sandy peak covered in black stones and minerals like coal and iron. This unique landscape, shaped by ancient volcanic activity, offers incredible photo opportunities.
Afterward, we’ll head to El Haiz village for a well-deserved lunch and a chance to relax. You can also shop for beautiful Bedouin-made souvenirs here. Around 2:30 PM, we’ll resume our journey to the Agabat area, known for its limestone hills and impressive sculptures. The name "Agabat" means "obstacles," as this area was once a challenging crossing for camel caravans.
Before sunset, we’ll reach the White Desert, an otherworldly landscape of white sand that looks like snow, with limestone formations resembling human heads, chickens, mushrooms, and plants, all carved by the fierce desert winds. This surreal area offers perfect photo ops, especially as the colors of the landscape shift from orange to pink to purple as the sun sets. Under the moonlight, the desert’s white sands take on an eerie, snow-like appearance.
As the day winds down, we’ll return to the Black Desert to set up camp. On the way, we’ll stop at Crystal Mountain, where you’ll marvel at the crystal-like stones and ancient inscriptions. You may even spot the tracks of desert foxes in the sand. Once we arrive at the campsite, you’ll enjoy a traditional Bedouin barbecue dinner while sitting around a fire circle under a star-filled sky. Relax with a hookah, take in the breathtaking views, and savor the magic of the desert night.
Day 2 : The Black Desert-Bahariya Oasis-Cairo
After a peaceful overnight stay in a comfortable tent, we’ll rise early to catch the sunrise. We’ll take some photos from the top of a dune or mountain, watching as the sun rises between the volcano-like peaks. After breakfast, we’ll pack up our gear and head out around 9:00 AM.
Next, we’ll drive to one of the high mountains in the Black Desert, where you can capture stunning panoramic views of the entire area. We’ll then visit Ein Mady, a warm spring in the Bahariya Oasis, surrounded by lush palm groves. This oasis is a major hub for date production, and you’ll learn about the farming techniques used to grow these prized fruits.
Afterward, we’ll head back to the city, where we’ll switch from the 4×4 back to our original vehicle. Then, we’ll begin the journey back to Cairo, arriving before sunset and dropping you off at your hotel for a restful night.
