Day 3: Giza Pyramids - Grand Egyptian Museum - Saqqara
After breakfast, discover the history of this amazing structure, which has yet to be revealed. Take in the breathtaking vista of the Pyramids rising out of Giza's golden sand from the Plateau.
It’s the moment to take pictures of your life! Before leaving the site, let’s greet Abu El Hol, the 3000 years old great Sphinx.
Next, head to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located near the Giza Pyramids in Egypt, which is set to be the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization. Spanning over 480,000 square meters, it will house a vast collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the complete tomb collection of Tutankhamun, showcased together for the first time. The museum's modern design, featuring a grand glass facade offering views of the pyramids, aims to blend Egypt's rich history with contemporary architecture. It serves as a new cultural hub, offering immersive experiences through advanced display techniques and interactive exhibits.
After lunch, continue your trip to the necropolis of Saqqarah.
Here you can admire the step pyramid of Djoser, the first time that the pyramidal shape was used to build a tomb, 4000 years ago.
In the evening we take the sleeper train to Luxor.
