Itinerary

(Note: This tour can be done as a standalone half-day trip or as a part of a Cairo full-day trip)   We’ll start the trip by picking you up from your hotel anywhere in Cairo or Giza and head to the historical Fustat city -Egypt’s first Islamic capital- and get an overview from your Egyptologist regarding this ancient city, which is a part of the Old Cairo district. As you get to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), you’ll enter the Main gallery and witness the main aspects of ancient Egyptian daily lifestyle tools used for cooking, fashion, and farming, Graeco-Roman statues and jewelry, Coptic Christian ritual clothing, praying incense burners, and Crosses, and the Islamic artifacts like Islamic Coins, The Holy Qur’an, and Mamluk Lamps.  Then you’ll enter the Royal Mummies Hall, where you’ll witness 20 Kings and Queens who once ruled Egypt and erected the majestic temples, like Ramses II who built the Abu Simbel Temples. Later, you’ll enter the Textile Hall, where you’ll witness uniforms, rugs, dresses, and the Kiswa or Holy Kaaba in Mecca covering. Finally, we end the tour by heading back to your hotel after having free time for photos and personal exploration of the museum markets and gift shops.
